International Jena School of Molecular Medicine

The International Jena School of Molecular Medicine (JSMM) offers an interdisciplinary graduate program in an attractive and inspiring research environment with a unique combination of expertise in molecular and cellular biology, biophotonics, molecular medicine and clinical research. The JSMM invites young scientists with a diploma or master’s degree in life sciences and medical doctoral students who work towards a doctoral degree in different fields of molecular and experimental medicine.

Currently, 210 doctoral students from 23 countries are enrolled. These students have a primary affiliation with one of the participating research groups and are registered in one of the four graduate schools. The JSMM programs are mainly held in English and are planned for the entire period of doctoral work. The successful completion of the program is approved by a Graduate School Certificate.
